I went to court for a balance of 510.00 which was on the 16th of the month, when my husband got paid he made another payment of $280.00 which left us with a balance of $230.00 which he paid on the 21st before court and we were due in court on the 30th of May so when that paperwork was filed at that time the balance due was in fact NOT the $510.00 it was only $230.00 and when my husband went into the office on the 21st and gave Josh and spoke with him, Josh didn't say anything other than the payment would be sent over by Ashley that day and the last payment my husband made was in person he didn't drop it off in the drop box because when he got off from work he took the payment right over to the office before they closed and the last payment was NOT applied towards our rent! The attorney's office was suppose to be informed that, the $230.00 payment was made a week before court AND a couple of days before we found out that we had to attend court. When the attorney Laura called the office to confirm that they received that last payment the property manger was not there as ALWAYS the other guy in the office proceed to tell the attorney that he could not and will not give her that information because he did not feel comfortable telling her anything! The attorney (Laura) told us she was irritated and annoyed and that we could go home since we paid our rent in full way before court! So the next day I received a notice that the last payment of $230.00 payment was applied to the attorney's fees instead of the rent! We proceed to go over to the office since it stated on the letter that if we had any questions or concerns to contact the office. So me and my husband went over to the office since we had 30-35 minutes before the office closed and when me and when we went over there, the door was closed and locked and the office doesn't close until 5pm and we heard Ashley's voice from inside of the office so me and my husband waited and knocked a couple more times after waiting at the door for about 10- 15 minutes me and my husband stood at the door as we heard Ashley walk over to the window from the back and then she proceed to walk over to the door and slowly opened the door. My husband walked in first and Im not sure if she just did not see me but she tried to close the door after my husband walked in and I was standing right behind him, so he told her I was right behind him she just looked at me and so I said hello and shook her hand. After I introduced myself to her for the first time she walked us to her desk and then stated that she could NOT talk to us! We both asked and why and whom we're we suppose to talk to and why was our payment not taken to whom it need to go to (Via Josh stated it was Corporate) and why wasn't the attorney informed of that payment being received as Laura said should have happened, she then again proceed to tell us she could not talk to us so my husband asked her if she was trying to force us out because it seemed as if she was being difficult and uninformative and was not at all polite when talking to us. She then paused and just looked at us as if we were suppose to leave after that, so me and my husband stood there until she said something and THEN said no and that she would repeat what she had previously said and said to us again that she could not talk to us and we had to communicate with the attorney and said if they don't know what was going on or what she(Ashley) told us then she couldn't help us!!! So then my husband left upset and confused so I asked her once again, whom are we suppose to talk to and whom do we send out rent to for the next month (June) and she said she could not talk to me and asked me to leave so I left and Told her I was going to contact corporate because what was going on was extremely weird and she proceed to tell me not to contact corporate as I was walking out of the office. When me and my husband spoke with the attorney and we made arrangements to pay her (Laura that morning at court after speaking with Josh at the office) the attorney's fees since we really shouldn't have had to pay if the attorney was notified before court and the fact that the people over at the office we're being really weird and difficult she wanted us to come pay her instead of paying the office the attorney's fees! Ashley did what she wanted to do with my payment and with held my payment in the office instead of applying my payment towards my rent as she should have and as Josh stated she had already done. I just do not understand how things work when it comes to the property manager and her assistants and how they are suppose to handle certain situations when it comes to running the complex and dealing with the tenants because even when I called and spoke with Josh a week before court to find if we still had to attend court and in the mist of our conversation he explained to me that the property manager took the payment to corporate when my husband dropped it off to him that day! THAT WAS A LIE! NOW they are asking me to not to renew!! The guy that we dealt with before at the office back in August (Micheal) was kind, polite and truthful with us about the different pricing (depending on the season/ time of yr) and the applying process. when I initially called in January of 2017 I spoke with a woman ( I can not remember her name) I was told that they did not accept Section 8 or rental assistance from LDSS, AT ALL when at that time I was receiving rental assistance from Section 8. I called back in September of 2017 and spoke with the same guy Micheal and it was just pleasant over the phone and when me and my husband stopped by the office to inquire about available units and did inform us they accepted rental assistance but at that point and time I was no longer receiving rental assistance so that's the reason why I went back to apply! NOW hes not even there and the property manager is never there and is EXTREMELY RUDE! This is the second Morgan management property Ive stayed at and last time I was living with my mom! NEVER EVER will I EVER apply for another Morgan management property! NO CLASS!!!! I should have listen to everyone who told me to to get involved with this property!
I have sent an email to you, Kim , with my contact information. A phone call would be appreciated and a total surprise from Morgan Property.
